Mississippi Walleye Club

Mississippi Walleye Club

The Mississippi Walleye Club of Dubuque IA. has been in existence since 1983. Our members come from all walks of life through out the Iowa - Wisconsin - Illinois area.

Our members share the common interest in the sport of fishing, mostly catching walleyes. We hold walleye tournaments and complete for trophies. Fish are released after weighing or measurement.

We hope to share our passion for fishing with our fellow club members, and share it with others that did not have a parent to take them fishing. Our annual  Kids Day fishing tournament provides 100 students (Grades 4, 5, & 6) from the Tri-State area (IA, WI, & IL) an opportunity to learn how to fish.

We also support the preservation of our natural resources and try to enhance the fisheries of the upper Mississippi River system. We strive to cooperate and work with the DNR in appropriate fisheries management.

Our members range from those who fish once or twice per year, to those who fish the national tournaments such as the Professional Walleye Trail, Masters Walleye Circuit and the Iowa Walleye Tournament Trail.
